Triple threat Fancy Mars has truly made a name for herself here in the NY scene. The Brooklyn native always had dreams of being an entertainer, but she never know when or how far her dreams would take her. Growing up some of her inspirations were Angela Bassett, Jada Pinkett, Halle Berry, Brandy, Monica, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion and Destiny’s Child. It was clear that acting and singing were both passions or hers, but growing up in a strict Haitian home it was clear that education came first before anything. Growing up as a first generation American proved to be hard at times as her parents were just learning the English language, but this only made Fancy more determined to excel as she ultimately would help them as well learned how to speak in other languages as well. Now although she excelled in her studies, it was the arts that really had her heart. Any chance she has to perform as kid, she took advantage of the opportunity. At any moment you could hear Francesca performing a solo in a school, but as she got older she decided to shift her focus on to fashion where she knew she just must succeed.

At 18 Fancy dived head first into the modeling, hitting any runway she could which ultimately led to her becoming a familiar face at events as her personality and presence stood out. Within no time she was on stage but not just as model but as a host for many different industry events that continued to open up doors for her as she networked and navigated these spaces which brought about new opportunities in ways she could never imagine. Hosting gigs would eventually lead her back to music, as she would meet many artists, producers and song writers who would invite her to the studio just to vibe but little did they know that it was just the spark she needed to create her own music. As she began to focus more on music her she decided to take a step back into acting after her first small role in ‘The Last American Guido‘ back in 2014. That experience alone was just what she needed to see that seeing herself on the big screen was truly possible as well.

As Fancy continued to pursue her dreams and build her resume, it was clear that her gift would continue to make room for her in spaces she truly belonged in. Fancy would put in featured background work on hit series including ‘Power’ & ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’, and a featured standout role in the film ‘The Week Of’ alongside Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. This all helped to propel her to the next level as an entertainer as she tapped into both sides of her talents. With help from of the production team of ‘Power’, Fancy was able to shoot a video for her lead single ‘Worried About Much’ which created a heavy buzz before the pandemic unfortunately shut down the world at large as we known it. This time away from entertainment helped Fancy to focus on the future as an all around entertainer and as soon as the world and industry started to open up, the rising star went after her dreams with full speed ahead. This past year Fancy has shot 4 feature projects including ‘We Are Family’ with Brigid Turner and ‘Ingeniuses’ with Brandon J Shaw and from the looks of it, things are only going up from here. Fancy Mars is truly one to watch in 2023 so take notice because this Brooklyn queen definitely is up next.
