Last night we had the pleasure of attending breakout star Kehlani sold out concert at the PlayStation theater in NYC. The sultry siren rolled her Sweet Sexy Savage Tour into town for its second show in support of her debut album which clearly has fans going crazy over her. The venue was packed wall to wall as fans were treated to opening acts like Def Jam’s Jahkoy and Interscope Records Ella Mai who both shined with their short but solid sets which was just an appetizer for what was to come.

The Queen of the night was definitely Ms Kehlani who set the stage on fire with a flawless 75min show which left the fans still wanting more & more. Kehlani hit the stage with 2 dancers , DJ & band who helped the Grammy nominated powerhouse shine as she executed every step of choreography while vocally taking the crowds breath away. While she cranked out fan favorite hits like ” Keep On ” CRZY ” , ” Distraction ” , ” Undercover” , ” The Way ” , “Get Away”, “In My Feelings ” , ” Gangsta ” & “Piece Of Mind “ she proved exactly why she has made a name for herself in a time where r&b seriously needed to be resurrected. Last night stars came out in Beverly Hills for BET’s 2nd Annual American Black Film Festival Honors. The event held at the Beverly Hilton was packed with Black Star Power as some of our favorites in Hollywood came out to celebrate the finest in television and film. Superstars like Queen Latifah , Denzel Washington , Viola Davis , Cicely Tyson , Diahann Carrol, Omari Hardwick, Pharrell Williams , Terrence Howard , Anika Noni Rose, Larenz Tate , Nia Long , Common , Maxwell , Issa Rae, Aldis Hodge , Lil Mama , Morris Chestnut , Kiersey Clemons, Jay Ellis ,Trai Byers , Elijah Kelly, Luke James , Keith Powers , Woody McClain , Cory Hardrict , Rutina Wesley , Kofi Siroboe , Dondre Whitfield, Chris Spencer , F.Gary Gray , Kandi Burruss , Laz Alonso , June Ambrose & more were all in attendance to celebrate excellence. The special event was in honor of Grammy nominated breakout star Jidenna , who finally released his highly anticipated debut album ‘The Chief’ .
