Rising star Miles Caton is no stranger to the spotlight, but the Brooklyn NY native is finally taking center stage on his own terms. Growing up literally being born into a royal family of Gospel Music, the child prodigy was clearly destined to sing. His mother Gospel powerhouse Timiney Figueroa instilled greatness into him from birth as he was already on the road with her at 1 month. By the age of 2 the musically inclined toddler was already wowing audiences performing solos at church, which only made sense if you ever heard his family sing. As Miles continued to develop his gift as a singer and performer his skills as a vocalist garnered the attention of millions after appearing on Bobby Jones Gospel after his soul stirring performance on Kurt Carr’s ‘ Bless Somebody Else’ alongside powerhouses Fred Hammond, Faith Evans, Yolanda Adams, Erica Campbell, KeKe Wyatt, Smokie Norful, John P Kee, Bishop TD Jakes and more.

Within time Miles continued to grow his fanbase after performing across the country on major stages for the U.S. Army, The NY Knicks and on TV as a 2 time guest on NBC’s ‘Little Big Shots’ hosted by Steve Harvey. A viral clip of his incredible rendition of Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’ in 2017 took off so quick that it was inevitable that his voice was gonna take him places he never could imagine, which also was featured in Jay-Z ‘s short film for his critically acclaimed album ‘4:44’. A Year later his world would change at the tender age of 16 as he would go on to tour the world Grammy Award winning superstar H.E.R. as a featured vocalist on her multiple sold out tours. Their countless performances of her fan favorite duet ‘Best Part‘ stunned audiences across the globe as he continued to win the hearts of every concert goer in the crowd. This experience alone proved to Miles that it was finally time to show the world his gift through his own music.

For years Miles has studied the greats that have come before him from Stevie Wonder and Donnie Hathaway to Drake and Kendrick Lamar, but as he continues to define his artistry on his own terms it’s clear that his sound is just what R&B has been missing. Earlier this month Miles released his long awaited self produced debut single ‘This Ain’t It’, which gave his growing fanbase just a taste of so much more he has in store. This triple threat is truly one to watch and once you experience his live show up close and personal , you will fully understand why his gift will continue to set him apart from the rest.

The charming r&b crooner recently stopped by BronxNet’s OPEN to chat with Rhina Valentin about his journey in music. The charismatic powerhouse opened up about the lessons he learned coming up in this business while juggling school on the road as he tours the world with Grammy & Academy Award winner HER.
