Breakout comedic star RIP Michaels has done again with his must see concert series. The ‘Fall Back In Love Comedy Jam’ is making its way back to New York at the UBS Arena in Long Island with an incredible line up that you for sure don’t want to miss. Now of course the ‘Wild N Out’ comedic star will be in attendance alongside some of his fellow comics including Brandon T Jackson, DC Young Fly, Pretty Vee, Emmanuel Hudson, Drew Fraser and Zoie Fenty. Now that alone would shut the arena down with that comedic lineup but this man has done the unthinkable and has put together an all star R&B lineup to match. Superstars Trey Songz, Mario, August Alsina and Jacquees will also take the stage for one hell of night that is for sure to be talked about for the rest of the year.

Now it should come as no surprise that Rip Michaels has continuously been able to pull of this tour in different markets. The Chicago native is one of the creative geniuses behind Wild N Out’s successful tour. His relationship with Nick Cannon started many years ago after working together on the cult classic film ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing‘, but his journey in the entertainment business wasn’t always as easy as it seems. After graduating Purdue University , the broke college grad moved to NYC along with his daughter to go after his dreams of becoming a successful comic. Though many think things may come easy for some, this wasn’t the case for the young single parent who ultimately become homeless as he struggled to make it in this competitive industry. Over the years it was a serious grind for him as he performed at comedy clubs, but within time his hard work would begin to pay off after meeting superstar Christina Milian on the set of the hit MTV show ‘Becoming‘. That chance would lead to him being featured in the film ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing’, which gave him a taste of so much more to come in his career. Over the years the breakout comedic star has appeared on multiple tv shows, comedy specials and more including MTV’s ‘Wild N Out’, Centric TV’s According to Him + Her, The Nick Cannon Show, Urban Eats and Treats, Last Call With Carson Daly, Kevin Harts Laugh Out Loud network, Oxygen’s ‘Living With Funny’ & MSG Network’s ‘Cheapin’ it Real’. With so much on the horizon, we had to talk with the comedic star during his busy schedule to catch up with him before the big show. Listen to our exclusive interview as he opens up about his journey in comedy, the future and more below.
