Miami,Fl native Jamil Charles most known as Kid Ape is the latest artist to take the art world by storm. His one of kind portraits and murals have been kept in high demand over the past three years. Now it might seem like he just appeared over nite but his journey into Art started along time ago as a kid. Early on during elementary and middle school he realized he had a gift to sketch and draw but never knew how far is talent could take him to years later. Now although he had a passion for art, he slowly began to shift his focus on other things while attending High School and College. As an adult working in the corporate world, he truly began to search for something more than what was offered to him.

Over the years Jamil’s artistry developed but in a different way then expected. He found a way to escape his day to day routine as a writer creating short stories which over 6 years eventually turned into a novel entitled
Red Art City‘ which was released in 2018. This was just the beginning of his journey back to his passion and slowly but surely his passion for art was alive and well after he poured himself into a creative space. Kid Ape decided to network among his peers to see how he could truly become his best self as an artist and within no time he took it upon himself to create a special portrait for Chris Cunningham who introduced him to his business partner Eli Massillon.

As a critically acclaimed and in demand artist Kid Ape has been commission to do art work for some of Music & Hollywoods finest including Snopp Dogg, Grandmaster Flash, Steve Lobel and Don Benjamin. His one of a kind portraits are a treasure which is sure to catapult him to the top of the art world. His murals alone have him traveling across the country as he creates one of a kind masterpieces for all of his clients which include his recent work at Paint Puff N Peace in Harlem, NY which is the newest hotspot in town.
