Last night some of music’s biggest stars took over NYC at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden for the second night of The Millennium Tour. The highly anticipated event put together by G Squared Events sold out in hours last year when the show was announced and trust me after what we witness, we truly see why. The big tour which reunites r&b super-group B2K along with Pretty Ricky , Mario , Lloyd , Ying Yang Twins , Bobby V & Chingy was jam packed with fans , celebrity guest & media as we all were in anticipation to see one of the most talked about shows of the season. Rap star Chingy kicked off the show performing a medley of his hits including his hit singles ‘I Like That’ , ‘Baller Baby’ , ‘One Call A Way’ & ‘Right Thurr’ which set the night off for what was clearly going be a long night of partying. Up next was r&b crooner Bobby V who was surprise to some of us on the lineup but a pleasant one for sure. He knocked out some of his fan favorite hits like ‘Tell Me’ , ‘Turn The Page’ , ‘Anonymous’ , ‘Pimpin All Over The World’ , ‘Slow Down’ & ‘Mrs Officer’ which kept the party going.

Up Next was r&b heartthrob Lloyd who hit the stage with his smooth charm as fans sang along & screamed every word to some of his classic tracks like ‘Bedrock’ , ‘You’ , ‘Caramel’ , ‘Tru’ , ‘Lay It Down’ & ‘Get It Shawty’. Now if that wasn’t enough the Atlanta native had a surprise up his sleeve as he brought out his former Murder Inc label mate superstar Ashanti to perform their duet “Southside”. Honestly the show was getting better and better and trust me when i say that Ying Yang Twins took that place up to another level as soon as they touched the stage. The rap duo took over the crowd who sang & danced along to every song like they were in the club with the fellas as they cranked out some of their hits like ‘Get Low’ , ‘Whistle While You Twurk’ , ‘Ms New Booty’ , ‘Salt Shaker’ & ‘The Whisper Song’. Honestly the show could’ve ended there and the crowd would have been satisfied but what came next was more than i expected.

Rap/R&B group Pretty Ricky was the next on the lineup and trust me, the fellas hit the stage with a vengeance and set it on fire. The 4 fellas from Miami recently reunited and trust me their performance gave the ladies in the audience everything they needed and more. Now the show was clearly for the grown and sexy but these fellas took things to another level with their seductive/raunchy stage show as they were grinding and gyrating all over the stage to some of their fan favorite singles like ‘Grind With Me’ , ‘Juicy’ , ‘Your Body’ & of course their infamous track ‘On The Hotline’. If that wasn’t enough to set the night off right, R&B powerhouse Mario was ready to hit the stage and trust me the audience couldn’t wait. While during one of the brief intermissions the shows host would pass the mic around to the crowd to let fans sings and one thing was clearly evident. These fans loved them some Mario because the majority of them would start singing his songs in acapella before he even touched the stage. So it only made sense that i could barely hear him sing for the first couple of songs in his set because his fans were singing along note for note & word for word. Mario backed by two dancers and a band proved why he has staying power as he gave a stellar performance of some of his classics including ‘Just A Friend ‘ , ‘Come On’ , ‘Braid My Hair’ , ‘How Do I Breathe’ , ‘Break Up’ & ‘You Should Let Me Love You’ which was clearly all the ladies needed before the main event.

Well the moment arrived for what so many fans have been waiting to see and trust me B2K made sure to give the fans everything they wanted and more. After a 16 year hiatus their reunion on the stage was just what fans were expecting as Raz B , Omarion , Lil Fizz & J Boog hit the stage with their electrifying energy. The fellas backed by 2 female dancers , band and one of hell of a production team proved why they have been missed. The boy band hit the stage with full of energy as they sang and danced with full choreography to match in perfect synchronization. They kicked off the show with some of their classics like ‘Girlfriend’ , ‘Uh Huh’ , ‘Gots To Be’ & ‘What A Girl Wants’ which was only getting the crowd for so many more special moments. Now they couldn’t forget to perform their hit ‘BadaBoom’ before a special dance breakdown in honor of their iconic movie “You Got Served” which was the perfect set up for what was next to come. Omarion then took the stage to perform some of his classic solo records like ‘O’ , ‘Icebox’ , ‘Entourage’ & ‘Spose To Be’ which gave us all the nostalgic feels of why we became fans but it was a surprise appearance from dancer Danielle Polanco who joined on stage to recreate the iconic video ‘Touch’ that just had the fans going wild. Trust me when i say their show was everything we needed and more and of course they had to perform more of their classics but you just have to be there to see what we mean. Get your tickets if they’re not sold out already in your city via G Squared Events for the must see show of the year which is sure to sell out. Special thanks to Thara Thomas for having us always.
