Grammy Award singer Brandy has been back in the studio with hit songwriter Sean Garrett working on her new album for RCA records but that isn’t that only thing shes been up to. She recently guest starred on 4 episodoes last seasons Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva as well as this seasons 90210. The acting bug must really be strong because today she announced that shes on set in Atlanta shooting the new Tyler Perry film “The Marriage Counselor” which stars Jurnee Smollet, Vanessa Williams,Lance Gross, Kim Kardashian, Ella Joyce & Jerry Stiller. Brandy will play Lance’s co worker in the new drama which will be in theaters later next year. Read a synopsis of the upcoming film below.

The film centers around Jurnee who plays the character ‘Judith,’ a marriage counselor who has an affair with her client (Robbie Jones) after her relationship with her husband (Lance Gross) begins to fall apart. Vanessa Williams will act as the owner of Judith’s firm while Kim plays the counselor’s good friend and co-worker who breaks her out of her shell.
