Last night stars of Hollywood, Music, Fashion, Sports and more came out to the Bronx for the 2nd annual BET “Black Girls Rock” awards held at The Paradise Theater. The taped event to air later in November was hosted by Academy Award nominated actress Regina King and Girlfriend/Reed Between The Lines star Tracee Ellis Ross. The show this year of course put together by Ms Beverly Bonds honored Taraji P Henson, Pastor Shirely Ceasar, Angela Davis, Tatyanna Ali just to name a few. The all star line up of performers included Mary J Blige, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Mary Mary, Shirley Caesar, Melanie Fiona, Estelle and new comer Elle Varner who just so happend to take a tumble during her performance but got up like pro. Celebrity guest in attendance included Tichina Arnold, Sheryl Lee Ralph,LaLa Anthony, Laurie Ann Gibson, Tamar Braxon (who hosted the red carpet show ) and many more.
