Last night we had the pleasure of catching rap superstar Rick Ross as he closed out his “Port Of Miami 2 Tour” in NYC at The Gramercy Theater. The sold out show was jam packed with fans , media , industry peers and special guest who came out to see the boss do his thing. Now of course it was expected that he would run through a catalog of his massive hits like ‘Hustlin’ , ‘Maybach Music’ , ‘BMF’ , ‘Aston Martin Music’ , ‘All I Do Is Win’ , ‘Hustle Hard’ & ‘Magnificent’ but what we didn’t expect was a show with tons of surprises in store.
Now when a tour closes in NYC , it’s expected to go out with a bang and trust & believe Rozay did that with the star studded lineup he had in store. First up to join him on the stage was fellow Miami native Gunplay who rocked out with him on their fan favorite track “Nobody’s Favourite”. Now that was cool just to get the crowd hype but up next was Harlem’s own Jim Jones who definitely got the crowd going wild as they performed their single “State Of The Union” but then the Dipset star had to perform his classic “We Fly High(Ballin)” which had everyone singing alone word for word. Harlem was definitely in the building as special guest A$AP Ferg was next to take the stage alongside Ross as they performed “Swipe Life” and closed out with his smash hit “Plain Jane”.
The show could’ve ended right there but we surely wasn’t ready for what came next. Rap legend Busta Rhymes took over the stage with only the energy he could bring as he performed a medley of his classic hits that had the crowd in a trance. Busta kicked off his set with the classic “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” , and trust me that alone was enough to set the stage on fire but then it got real serious when he performed his infamous verse on “Look At Me Now” which left the crowd speechless as he performed it flawlessly. Rick Ross of course joined him as he closed out his set with the A Tribe Called Quest classic “Scenario” , for what was surely another epic moment for hip-hip. Now clearly the concert could’ve ended there and everyone would’ve been pleased by Rick Ross kept the party going as he cranked out more of his hits and signed autographs of his book which was the perfect way to close out his two sold out shows here in town. Trust me the boss himself did exactly what he needed to do last night , he came , he performed and conquered like only he could but if you missed then your in luck because we have exclusive footage from the must see show below.
