So today is the second biggest day for musicians. The nominees for the 2019 Grammy Awards have just been announced and this year some of our favorites are for big awards with multiple nominations. Rap superstar Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with 8 nominations for the “Black Panther” soundtrack which is up for “Album of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Record of the Year,” and “Best Rap Song.” For “Album of the Year,” Kendrick faces off against Cardi B (Invasion Of Privacy), Drake (Scorpion), H.E.R. (H.E.R.), Post Malone (Beerbongs & Bentleys) and Janelle Monáe (Dirty Computer). Superstar Drake follows right behind with seven nods, while Folk singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile earns six nominations. Now if that wasn’t enough Cardi B, Childish Gambino, H.E.R., Lady Gaga, and Maren Morris all follow with five nominations.
