Last night Hot 97 held their annual Hot For The Holidays Concert at The Prudential Center in New Jersey and trust me it was the perfect way to kick off the holidays. The sold out show started with a bang as singer/actor Rotimi hit the stage for a quick performance of single ‘Want More’ which definitely got the stage & crowd hot just in time for rising rap star Tee Grizzley to take over and do his thing. Up Next was Harlem’s own Dave East who rocked the crowd as fans sang along to some of his fan favorite tracks like his latest single ‘Perfect’. Now if that wasn’t enough rap star Yo Gotti took over the stage and brought his Memphis flavor to the show which got the fans hyped as he performed some of his smash hits like ‘Down In The DM’ & ‘Rake It Up’.

Up Next was NYC’s own Cardi B who definitely represented The Bronx to the fullest. The Breakout Love & Hip Hop star set the stage on fired backed by 2 dancers as she performed her hits ‘Foreva’ , ‘Lick’ , ‘Motor Sport’ , ‘No Limit’ and her Billboard smash ‘Bodak Yellow’. From that moment on it was clear that some of rap finest ladies were going to take over the show. BX Rap diva Remy Ma hit the stage with a vengeance as she performed some of her classic cuts like ‘Lean Back’ and ‘Conceited’ before bringing out Rap Legend Fat Joe to do their hit singles ‘All The Way Up’ & ‘Money Showers’. Now it was clear that Remy still had her latest single ‘Wake Me Up’ to perform so it was only right that she brought out rap icon Lil Kim for some help with the record. The two rap divas could’ve clearly closed the night as Kim performed some of her classic cuts like ‘Queen Bitch’ , ‘ Big Mamma Thing’ , ‘Quiet Storm’ & ‘Lighters Up’ but there was still some more heat on the way.

Superstar Chris Brown was up next and as expected the stage from here or not was never the same. The r&b heartthrob had the ladies screaming as soon as he stepped on the stage without even singing a note which was a clear indication that tonight he was the one everyone was waiting for. Chris did what he did best and commanded everyone’s attention with his electrifying high energy stage show backed by 8 dancers. Although his set was only 30 minutes , he still made fans feel like it was his own personal concert as he cranked out hit after hit including tracks like ‘Ayo’ , ‘Show Me’ ,’Party’ , ‘Yo’ , ‘Wet’ , ‘Loyal’ , ‘Questions’ , ‘Tempo’ & more. Honestly the show could’ve ended there but Hot 97 had more in store as rap star 21 Savage hit the stage to close out the special holiday concert. Once again NYC’s best station for Hip-Hop and R&B outdid itself with another jam packed concert that had everyone on their feet for hours which is exactly why fans continue to come out every year. Unfortunately if you wasn’t there you have a few months before Summer Jam rolls around but for a limited time you can check out exclusive footage from last nights show to see exactly why everyone is still talking about it.
