Last night some of musics biggest stars came out in NYC for Power 105.1 annual Powerhouse Concert. The sold out event held at the Barclays Center was jam packed with fans & media ready in excitement to see some of today’s finest in Hip Hop and r&b. The show kicked off with dancehall star Kranium who rocked the stage with special guest ‘Power’ star Rotimi. Up next was The Breakfast Club’s own DJ Envy who took over the stage with a few special friends including ASAP Ferg , Casanova , Busta Rhymes & Tee Grizzley. Now that was just within the first half hour of the night so with that being said, trust me the show was only gonna get crazier. Bad Boy’s own French Montana hit the stage next and rocked the crowd with some of his fan favorite hits which kept the crowd on their feet as they sang along to every word , but what happened next was a sight to see. Philly’s own Lil Uzi Vert shook up the building as he jumped off the stage and performed in the stands with fans which sent the crowd into a frenzy. His rock star antics on stage proved exactly why he is one today’s biggest stars.

Now if that wasn’t enough then up next was the Bronx Queen Cardi B who was clearly the lady of the night. The breakout rap diva hit the stage with a vengeance backed by dancers as she performed some of her fan favorite tracks from her mix-tape. But when ‘Bodak Yellow’ came on the crowd sang along so loud you could barely hear the rap star over them. Just when the crowd thought she was done she decided to close out her set with special guest G-Eazy to perform their hit single ‘No Limit’ and trust me their was still more in store. Rap superstars Migos were up next and as always they lit the stage on fire performing some of the big hits like ‘Hannah Montana’ , ‘T-Shirt’ and of course ‘Bad and Boujee’. Just when we thought that was all the rap crew decided to premiere their new single ‘Motor Sport’ exclusively for the crowd which sent everyone into a frenzy since the track features Nicki Minaj & Cardi B. Honestly the show could’ve ended there and all would be well but we still had one more act to go. Superstar The Weekend closed out the big night backed by his band and a killer light show which made everyone feel like they had front row seats to his actual tour. The Weekend cranked out hit after hit and also brought out a few special guest including rap stars Belly & Travis Scott. Powerhouse once again proved why it stands the must see concert of the year in NYC and trust me if you were there you can surely see why it will always sell out. Hopefully you were there but if you weren’t well give you a preview of what you missed out on. Check out some exclusive pics and footage from last night and as always we hope to see be back next year.
