Last night we had the pleasure of attending rap diva Azealia Banks comeback concert held at the Highline Ballroom in NYC. The sold out show was packed with fans who waited hours to see the Harlem native rock the stage as only she could. The femcee backed by a 4 piece band , DJ and two dancers gave the fans all they wanted and more as she captivated the crowd with her sultry rap style. The ‘Young Rapunzel’ kept it very real about her troubles with the music industry and being blacklisted, but what was more refreshing to see was that she still prevailed and chooses to do their her own way. Last night there might of been a few sound issues as she put together a new show with her band which was new for her but the one thing that remained the same was her talent. Watch as she performs some of her fan favorites hits like ‘212’, ‘1991’ , ‘Chasing Time’ , ‘Desperado’ , ‘The Big Big Beat’ , ‘Heavy Metal And Reflective’ along with a few jazz standards which was a delightful surprise. Trust me this is only the beginning for her comeback , so don’t ever count Miss Banks out because the best is surely yet to come.
