Last night the 2016 UrbanWorld Film Festival went out with a bang with tons of black star power who came out to close this years 20th anniversary celebration. The cast of the highly anticipated BET mini series ‘The New Edition Story’ was in full affect to show off scenes of the upcoming made for tv movie. Bryshere Gray , Luke James , Elijah Kelly , Keith Powers , Woody McGrain and LaLa Anthony hit the red carpet alongside BBD aka half of the legendary group & the director of the film Chris Robinson. BET’s own Stephen Hill was on hand to debut never before scene footage to the crowd which left everyone wanting more after the 30 minute sneak peek. Watch as the cast , director & BBD sit down with the audience to discuss the must see mini series about the legendary groups rise to fame & impact on music when it airs next year.

Up Next the cast of FOX’s ‘ Shots Fired ‘ made their way onto the red carpet to premiere their new racially charged show led by director Gina Prince-Bythewood. Some of the dynamic cast in attendance last night included Stephan James , Mack Wilds , Aisha Hinds & DeWanda Wise who all spoke about how important the show is and how its needed now with all the recent tragic events dealing with police brutality. The intense drama had the audience on edge one minute , then crying next which made the show so relate-able to everything going on in the world. The must see 10 part mini series which also stars Sanaa Lathan will definitely be the show that has everyone talking once it airs next spring.
